Returns
Return Policy*:
- Items must be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase
- Returns or exchanges received after the 30-day return period are accepted at our discretion, but may be subject to a restocking fee
- Items must be returned in their original packaging
- Items must be returned with a copy of the invoice or receipt
- Returned items must not be used, altered or damaged. Perkins will evaluate the returned products for damage before refunds issued.
- Braillers must include all accessories (Dust cover, User manual, Test sheet in braille, Wooden Eraser and the bag they came in) in new condition or there will be additional restocking fees.
- Braillers must also be be packed correcting using the foam inserts and box the brailler came in. If either the carton or the foam inserts are missing you must purchase replacement box and inserts on our site for a brailler to be returned
- Parts and accessories are generally not accepted unless they are entirely unused. If a part was mistakenly ordered by the customer and was used or handled by the customer then it is no longer sellable as new and will not be accepted.
- In the rare case that we ship you the incorrect part due to our error, it must be returned in saleable (new) condition. We will send the correct part once we receive the mis-shipped part in return at no further cost
- Eligible returns will be credited to your original form of tender
- For customers seeking exchanges: customers will be issued a full refund of the original purchase and then be required to repurchase desired items.
Return Instructions:
- SPARE PARTS & ACCESSORIES RETURNS: Please send and email or call our support line to initiate a return request. *** Once we have been able to reach you regarding your return you may send the product to the following address: Attn: Chris Arnold /Returns 175 North Beacon Street Watertown, MA 02472 **
- BRAILLER RETURNS: Send your brailler(s) back to our returns department: Attn: James Anderson/Returns 175 North Beacon Street Watertown, MA 02472 **
- Include your invoice or receipt
- Include a note stating the reason for return
- Expect a delay in eligible refunds to allow time for an evaluation of your product for damages
- Braillers are warrantied for 1 year from purchase date. Please indicate a warranty issue in all correspondence. In case of warranty the brailler will be repaired and returned to you at no cost. We do not send replacement braillers.***
